Confident Living, a program to help patients with pelvic incontinence, and Infant Massage classes are also available.
The first Sisters of Charity arrived in Leavenworth on Nov. 11, 1858. The Sisters soon realized a need to serve the sick, so plans were drawn up for a new hospital. Even though it was still under construction, Saint John Hospital, the first private hospital in the state of Kansas, received a family of starving Civil War refugees as its first patients on March 15, 1864. The long tradition of deep love and Christian concern for the needs of all is still very much alive as Saint John continues building on a distinguished past...well into the future.
